A Tuscan-styled estate on De Portola Road carrying a four-generation Italian wine lineage.
Robert Renzoni bought the De Portola Road property in 2006 and opened the winery in spring 2008, carrying forward a family winemaking lineage that traces back to Italy. The estate specializes in Italian varietals such as Sangiovese, Montepulciano, and Barbera alongside Bordeaux grapes.
The 12-acre estate is built for a Tuscan feel, with a villa-style tasting room and patios looking over the vines in the secluded Valle de los Caballos. Its setting off the main road gives it a quieter atmosphere.
Tastings highlight the estate's Italian varietals and blends, offered as seated flights with patio seating; reservations are recommended Friday through Sunday.
Worth knowing: Recognized as the first 100% solar-powered winery in Temecula Valley.
