Sunstone was founded in 1990 as one of the first organic vineyard estates in Santa Barbara County. The winery built its reputation on Bordeaux and Rhone varietals grown to California Certified Organic Farmer standards.
The estate evokes the south of France, anchored by a villa completed in 2002 using reclaimed materials brought over from across France. Stone courtyards, lavender and oak set the tone for tastings in the Santa Ynez Valley.
