DAOU was founded in 2007 by brothers Georges and Daniel Daou, who left careers in technology to pursue a shared dream of making world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. They built the estate around a singular conviction: that the limestone-rich, high-elevation soils west of Paso Robles could produce Bordeaux-caliber wines.
The winery crowns a 212-acre hilltop in the Adelaida District, rising alone to 2,200 feet above the surrounding coastal range. Tastings unfold on a terrace with sweeping views across the vineyards and valley below, an experience as much about the place as the wine.
The Discover DAOU tasting walks through estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style blends, including the flagship Soul of a Lion. Visits are by reservation only.
