A vast biodynamic estate of vineyards, gardens, and woodland in the hills southwest of Eugene.
Founded in 1991 with a commitment to sustainability and respect for the land, King Estate built its reputation on pinot gris and pinot noir grown at the southern end of the Willamette Valley. Long certified organic, the estate adopted the Biodynamic standard in 2016.
The estate is an integrated ecosystem of vineyard, woodland, orchards, and culinary gardens, anchored by a hilltop winery and restaurant. It is North America's largest certified Biodynamic vineyard, and the kitchen draws on produce grown just steps away.
Tastings pair estate pinot gris, pinot noir, and limited single-vineyard wines with a farm-to-table restaurant overlooking the vineyards; reservations are recommended.
Worth knowing: North America's largest certified Biodynamic vineyard.
