Steven Kent Mirassou founded the winery in 1996 with a single goal: to make Livermore Valley Cabernet that rivals the world's great reds. The Mirassou name reaches back to one of the oldest winemaking families in the country, and the flagship Lineage blend is its signature.
The tasting room on South Vasco Road sits among a cluster of producers at the valley's southern edge. The focus stays squarely on the wine, with seated flights of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Seated tastings center on the Lineage red blend and small-lot Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon; reservations are recommended, and the winery is closed early in the week.
