About L'Ecole No 41

The Historic Schoolhouse Winery

Founded in 1983 by Jean and Baker Ferguson as a retirement project, L'Ecole No 41 is the third oldest winery in the Walla Walla Valley and is now run by three generations of the family. It is best known for Bordeaux-style reds and what some critics call America's best semillon.

The tasting room occupies a restored 1915 schoolhouse in the small town of Lowden, with tastings in the historic classrooms or on a scenic deck. A Legacy Cellar and a behind-the-barrel tour round out the offerings.

What you'll taste

Premier and Grand Cru flights of current releases pour in the historic classrooms or on the deck, with Legacy Cellar and barrel experiences available; walk-ins are welcome and reservations are recommended for larger groups.

Worth knowing: Twice named producer of the Best Bordeaux Blend in the World at the Decanter World Wine Awards.
